Shanthi Sagara


Shanthi Sagara is situated 50 kms from Davangere, is a major water supply source and also second largest pond in Asia. It was built by namesake Princess Shanthi during 12th century. Now it is a water source for both drinking and agriculture. There is a temple dedicated to Lord Siddeshwara near the lake. An aqueduct designed by Sir M Visveshwaraya is also a major tourist attraction. The government is taking steps to spruce up tourist attractions in the area. It has a diameter about 45 kms, surrounded by green mountains,siddeshwara temple is situated at hill top,bhadra canal is flowing at one side of the lake, and has a link with a lake.by this 8,000 hectares of land is irrigated through out the year,lake is lined by dirstic road around 5-6 km,feel good while travelling, and place is good for trekking.

Bathi Gudda


Bathi Gudda is a superb place which is situated 4 km from Davangere city towards Harihara. From the top of this hill both Harihar and Davangere city looks beautiful. On this Hill there is a Temple and Dargah where believers go for prayers and mercies. Chaman Sha Wali Dargah of Baathi is a famous place of visit for all communities. Every year there will be a festivities conducted jointly by all the community leaders. Beside this hill Bhadra sugar factory & Bathi lake are situated. you can even visit the Davangere Dairy located in Bathi, which supplies milk to Davanagere and Chitradurga district. Different varieties of trees have come up in 30 hectares on the hillock, which has been named "Pavithra Vana."

Kondajji


Kondajji is situated around 12 km from Davangere city. Its a major scout and guides camp for south India which is named in the commemoration of Kondajji Basappa. In Kondajji there are 3 hills, a lake and boating is available.Kondaji is gifted with a beautiful and vast expanse of simmering lake with hills and forest as backdrop Kayaking, Coracle ride and surfing is offered by the General Thimmayya National Academy of Adventure, Department of Youth Services & Sports, Government of Karnataka.

Kunduvada Kere


Kunduvada Kere (Mallikarjuna sagara Parivartita Kunduvada Kere) in Davangere, is a picturesque lake. It is one of the sources of drinking water for the city.It has been rejuvenated with the aid from world bank and will share the burden of providing water to the city's population. It serves as a picnic spots. The catchment area of this lake is nearly 253 Acres. Recently, it was rennovated and treated as Summer Water Storage Tank. The capacity of the tank is 20 MLD. Water supply facility provided by the tank covers more than 50% of the city area from past 2 years. This reservoir receives water from Bhadra reservoir located at Lakkavalli village near Bhadravathi and water comes through right bank canal. Though fishing and night camping is banned, it is open for the public on all the days till 7 p.m. It has been fenced at certain locations and forest department charges a nominal fee for entry. Now, Davanagere City Municipal Council has made a resolution to rename Kundwada Tank as " KUNDUVADA TANK- RENNOVATED S. S. MALLIKARJUNA SAGARA ".
